Merle came to Ben Massell because she wanted to smile again. She remembers talking to a doctor who replied, “I think we can do that”, a phrase she has never forgotten. The Ben Massell clinic has helped to improve Merle’s quality of life, describing how she is now able to go out in public without feeling ashamed or covering her mouth everywhere she goes.
She credits Ben Massel with helping her “get back to Merle”. Today, she sings in her church’s choir every Sunday, reconnecting with a passion she believed was lost to her forever. “How does it feel to have pretty teeth again?”, she asks, “It feels great”.
